Responsible for all phases of the pharmacy information system implementation and ongoing operation including planning, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of systems, processes, and workflow.
• Analyzes current and future end user department requirements, procedures and workflow.
• Ensures that pharmacy and clinical information systems are consistent with professional and regulatory standards of clinical practice.
• Coordinates transition to live environment of assigned application and application functionalities
• Collaborates with other analysts to develop functionalities directly or indirectly related to their assigned specialties including interfaces and dependent software
• Tests, debugs and documents system modifications and upgrades
• Develop and manage appropriate applications monitoring and data validation processes for all assigned applications or application functions, (outcomes from technology, ie meeting desired goals)
• Manage and monitor appropriate third party interfaces with assigned applications
• Provides after hours on-call applications support as necessary and as assigned
• Provide appropriate levels of end user training and education as needed
Requirements
- A Master’s degree with a concentration in a healthcare technology field is preferred
- 3-5 years inpatient pharmacy experience
- Previous experience implementing one or more Cerner Millennium products or another similar electronic health information system strongly preferred
- R.Ph or Pharm.D is preferred.
- A certification in Nursing, Nursing Informatics or a related certification is preferred
