This individual will take direction from the Category Head, and implement the strategies set forth by Technology Sourcing leadership team for the Software and Professional Services categories. This individual will assist business leaders in managing their respective P&L’s with regards to technology spending, planning, and development of supplier relationships critical to their respective lines of business.
• Lead a regional organization of five to six Sourcing Managers, managing the sourcing of multiple commodities, often of a global scale
• Lead major negotiations and large sourcing engagements within region
• Develop, manage, and measure key supplier relationships in multiple markets with addressable spend figures over $400M
• Achieve targeted results against Tech Sourcing objectives which include a cost savings goal of $50M annualized
• Maintain and present market analysis to the Category Head and business leaders, regarding product and service development opportunities
• Ensure effective transition from current practices to any new models including migration to new sourcing systems and purchasing processes
• Develop and maintain career development plans for Sourcing Managers
• Ensure Sourcing Managers are appropriately trained, and are employing sourcing tactics used for new technology trends in the industry
• Develop training program for all levels of Sourcing Managers
• Position requires 25% domestic and international travel
Requirements
• 10+ years of sourcing and procurement experience
• 3 - 5 years of people management experience
• Experience leading major negotiations with software and services suppliers
• Experience leading large scale or enterprise sourcing activities
• Experience in evaluating off shoring, smart sourcing, and 3rd party development engagements
• Experience implementing a commodity strategy in the technical supply chain arena
• Experience managing addressable spend figures exceeding $200M
• Experience in managing in a global, matrixed environment
• Bachelors Degree; JD preferred
• Membership with ISM, CIPS or equivalent preferred
• Participation on Supply Chain Management board, roundtables, or equivalent is preferred
