This role will have primary responsibility for review and analysis of information related to various performance metrics collected across the enterprise. The candidate will provide analytical results to traders, back-office, exchanges, and technology teams.
Responsibilities include:
* Identify and document sources of latency/performance related data
* Provide statistical analysis of latency data along with impact/resolution details
* Interact directly with traders to communicate potential issues
* Define, document, and implement new practices to expand the analytical process
* Monitor latency/performance metrics for deviation, and report such changes across enterprise
Candidate Qualifications:
* Excellent inferential reasoning
* Strong basic statistical skills using R (preferred), Matlab, or Excel Stats-pack
* Fundamental database skills (SQL)
* Experience constructing visual charts/graphs
* Functional ability to work in a Unix/Linux environment
* Programming experience in Python (preferred), Perl, Java, C, C++ or some other modern language
* Knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
* Understanding of computing systems in a distributed, networked environment
* B.S. in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or Mathematics
